The People Behind Our Success

Melina Power, President of the Lakeland Métis Nation, has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication to the community. She holds a Diploma in Community Social Work from Portage College and is in her fourth year of a Bachelor of Professional Arts degree at Athabasca University, showcasing her strong educational background and commitment to continuous learning.
Since 2011, Melina has been at the forefront of Lakeland Métis operations, managing programs and services strategically, fostering positive change, and ensuring the community's welfare. Her efforts extend to driving regulatory initiatives, building industry collaborations, and nurturing crucial government relations. Melina's tenure as President is marked by unwavering dedication, expertise, and a profound commitment to the Métis community's betterment, making her an invaluable asset to the Lakeland Métis Nation.

Tristan Elliott serves as the Vice President of the Lakeland Métis Nation, a role he has held since 2022. Tristan has shown unwavering dedication and commitment to advancing Lakeland Métis youth programming. He has also played a key role in developing upcoming scholarships and a range of services aimed at improving the lives of our Métis citizens. With his visionary approach and leadership skills, Tristan continues to make invaluable contributions, leaving a lasting impact on the Lakeland Métis Nation.

Becky Bonner has been a dedicated member of the Lakeland Métis Nation Board of Directors since 2022. Her extensive experience and unwavering dedication to the Lakeland Métis Nation are evident in her active involvement and contributions. Her diverse expertise and strong leadership skills have made her an invaluable asset to the organization, consistently driving initiatives that foster community development and support. Becky's passion for her heritage and commitment to the welfare of the Lakeland Métis Nation underscore her role within the board.

Chloe Scoville serves as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Lakeland Métis Nation, a role she's held since 2024. In this position, she supports the board by maintaining official records. Chloe plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations within the organization.
